Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. 女主角也有类似的经验，和男主角两个人在网上聊天以后，和闺蜜决定下一个工作的目的地就是男主角的所在地，女主角的职业设定也很有意思，是travel nurse旅行护士，提着所有家当——一个行李箱，来找男主角相互解除诅咒。

两个人在仔细研究了两人的分手史以后，决定了这次“注定会分手的恋爱”包括：四次约会，一个吻和一次分手。当然，意料之中的事情肯定发生了，男主角在第一次见到女主角的时候，就出现了电影里的“真爱时刻”，女主角一出现，就变成了慢动作，男主角大脑此刻自动截图疯狂保存自己老婆的美丽瞬间。
